About Yvonne De Brazil, J.D.
Hello, my name is Yvonne De Brazil. I am a full-time insurance agent whose insurance agency is entirely concentrated in Medicare-Related Health insurance.
My Strongest Quality
My strongest quality is my ability to explain Medicare in clear terms. That big book you get in the mail from Medicare? Well, I can drill Medicare down to its essential elements and make you wonder why the Centers for Medicare used all that paper … and I will do it all in about 15 minutes.
My 2nd Best Quality
My 2nd best quality is making your life easier by simplifying & streamlining the process of signing up for Medicare and assisting you in deciding on the best insurance. I do all the work of researching the company to make sure you are getting the best coverage, for the lowest price. If any glitches occur, I take care it. You don’t have to do anything.
A list of my clients includes lawyers, retired engineers, retired school teachers, doctors, and pharmacists, retirees of all occupations. I personally make sure each client has the best insurance money can buy.
My Insurance Background
I have been in the senior market field for 15 years and I stay current on all changes that impact Medicare and Part D prescription drug plans.
Annually, I complete over 40 hours of state-regulated and federal re certifications solely in the area of Medicare, Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage and Part D.
My Formal Education
I received my bachelors’ degree in history at UCSB, and my Law degree at the Santa Barbara College of Law in 1994, and was awarded a Master in History in 2005.
Although my education is technically unrelated to insurance, you can see I tend to be pretty committed to learning. The benefit of that to you is, I understand Medicare well, and stay appraised of any changes that affect you.
My business philosophy is straight-forward:
I work hard to be like the insurance agent your parents had.
I genuinely want my clients to have the best insurance, which is why I am authorized with so many companies so that I have many options to present to them.
Also, I want my clients to feel that they have someone they can call on when something confusing happens, either with Medicare or a billing problem. Problems can occur, and I want to make their experience with insurance worry-free.
That’s why I make every effort to make myself personally ‘reachable’ for my clients, and if I can’t answer the phone when they call, I return their call that day.
I won’t leave you to the “no man’s land” of 800 numbers with impersonal, or automated phone menus and long hold times.
One last thing: I stay in touch with my clients on a bi-yearly basis to make sure that their coverage is up-to-date, to appraise them of any changes in Medicare, and to make sure their policy remains well-priced. In a word — I work hard to earn your business, year after year.
Testimonials
I highly recommend Yvonne DeBrazil to anyone going onto Medicare. She was very organized and her presentation was easy to understand. She took the stress and anxiety out of understanding Medicare and the Medicare insurance process. If I have any problems or questions about Medicare or insurance, I don’t hesitate to call her.Marlene in Santa Barbara

Hospital Food So Fresh, Even the Healthy Come to Dine
When was the last time you heard that hospital food was good? Well, it is at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton, Virginia. Their meals are $4.50 per plate, and predictably, they don't make a profit. This restaurant sounds so enticing that to hear it described, you'd think you were reading Fine Dining Magazine. But you're not.
Over 90 and Loving It!
If ever you wondered if we were in the midst of a Longevity Revolution, watch this short video Over 90 and Loving it! by Susan Polis Schulz. The film demonstrates that age is only a mindset, and when one sets their mind to ignore it then life is continually full and fresh.
Working Later by Choice, or not.
Now here’s one that will surprise you: It’s all over the news about job growth being weak, but guess which sector of the population where employment is ‘growing’? If you guess older Americans, you’re right!
The Medicare Effect Longevity with Joy
Much of what we hear in the news is about how to care for our aging elders, but that isn’t what I see in my business, which is exclusively comprised of older Americans on Medicare. What I see most of the time is older adults living VERY productive lives well into an advanced age.
